Ebay, in my opinion is seller saturated. By that I mean, their are too many people selling the same thing, therefore having to constantly compete with each other, by lowering prices. Ultimately slashing profits drastically after ebay have taken their cut too, and lets face it, they're not the cheapest fees on the Internet with insertion fees between€0.25 and €3.00 per item, depending on the asking price, and final valuation fees between 5.25% and 8.75% plus more on top. Sellers are forced to charge high postage costs to try and break even sometimes. I mean, how many times have you bought an item from ebay, paid €9.99 postage, recieved the item. Only to discover, the actual postage was €3.50. I personally don't believe this is intentional, although, yes, their are those sellers out there that really do exploit buyers with exccesive postage costs.
